中国石化新闻网讯 据悉，美国《化学周刊》已经了解到，陶氏化学计划停止生产氯化聚乙烯。陶氏化学是在位于德国施塔德的工厂内生产这种产品，并且以Tyrin品牌进行销售。陶氏化学表示，公司已经决定停止Tyrin生产，从而退出该业务，因为公司计划对业务进行微调，重点将发展长期有赢利增长保证的业务。陶氏化学已经通知客户公司将从2016年起停止生产Tyrin。
据估计，施塔德工厂拥有氯化聚乙烯产能3万吨-4万吨/年。Tyrin主要用作热塑性塑料和弹性体的添加剂，以增强弹性和改善耐热、耐化学品、耐低温和耐风化性能。陶氏化学退出氯化聚乙烯业务后，全球只有中国公司生产氯化聚乙烯。

Dow Chemical is to discontinue producing chlorinated polyethylene (PE), CW has learned. The company makes the product, sold under the Tyrin brand, at its Stade, Germany, site. Dow says it decided to cease manufacturing Tyrin there, the only place where it makes the product, as part of the company’s intention to slightly adjust its asset footprint to position businesses for long-term earnings growth. Dow has notified customers that it will stop producing Tyrin from 2016.
The Stade facility has capacity of between 30,000–40,000 m.t./year, according to estimates. Tyrin is used as an additive in thermoplastics and elastomers to enhance flexibility and improve resistance to flame, chemicals, low temperatures, and weathering. The closure will leave only Chinese companies producing chlorinated PE.
